Next CS:GO Major: DreamHack Cluj-Napoca
We are now just under 2 weeks away from the next Counter Strke: Global Offensive Major!
From October 28 to November 1, DreamHack Open will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
In these five days, 16 professional teams will battle for a grand sum of $250.000. DreamHack will be teaming up with PGL and Valve to bring us this event.
The event will take place in the Polyvalent Hall, a multi-purpose arena. The venue can hold up to 10.000 viewers. This means enough space for all the eSports fun!
“We’re thrilled to bring a CS:GO Major to DreamHack Cluj-Napoca, as we’ll have the chance to create a 4-day stage show in front of the amazing Romanian eSports fans, as well as attract fans worldwide,” said Tomas Lyckedal, DreamHack. “Together with our partner PGL, we have the possibility to create the most unique media production, and ultimately the most memorable event in CS:GO ever.”
The teams participating on this event will consist of the Top 8 from ESL One, that took place in Cologne earlier this year together with the 8 teams that came on top of the qualifier, which took place in Stockholm last month. The 16 teams will be:
- Ninjas In Pyjamas
- Team SoloMid
- Natus Vincere
With the teams being set, we now also have an official update with the crew that will be hosting the event. Paul ‘ReDeYe’ Chaloner will be the main host for this event and Richard Lewiswill take up the spot of panel host. Pala ‘Mantrousse’ Gilroy Sen and Scott ‘SirScoots’ Smith will be interviewing the players during the 5 days in Cluj-Napoca.
For the casting roles, we will be seeing Anders and Semmler from RoomOnFire, DDK and JZFB from FaceIt and completing the team we will see Sadokist and HenryG. At the analyst desk we can expect the usual names. Those being Thorin, Fifflaren, Natu and Moses.
