DreamHack Cluj-Napoca in-depth!

Tue 20th Oct 2015 - 7:59pm : Gaming

DreamHack has given out some new information about the upcoming CS:GO Major in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

In the last major CS:GO Tournament of this year, 16 professional teams will be fighting over a $250,000 prize pool. The event will be five days long, where 4 of those days will be open for spectators.

The tournament will start with a double-elimination group stage. These matches will be best-of-one (BO1), meaning if you lose, your team will immediately go down to the Lower Bracket. One thing to point out is that Lower Bracket teams will no longer have a chance to participate, after day one!

When the group stage is played out, the top two teams from each group will advance to the decider matches.

These decider matches (on day 3) will be in a BO3 setting, meaning the team with 2 matches won will advance.

On the fourth day of the tournament, the 4 Quarter-finals will be played. Out of these will come 4 teams, who will face each other in the Semi-finals. And obviously, the teams winning those will fight for the grand sum of $250,000 in the Grand Final, on Sunday, November 1.
