VwS GamerGloves Competition Recap

Sun 8th Mar 2015 - 8:44pm : Gaming

The first VwS Gaming tournament powered by Gamer Gloves is in the record books! In an unexpected turn of events an up-and-comer by the name of ‘Shotzzy’ plowed through the bracket, not even dropping a single game, before meeting VwS’s very own Pat ‘IrEgption’ Tardif in Grand Finals. Shotzzy went on to beat Pat 2-0 in dominant fashion to become our very first VwS Gaming tournament winner, and the whole organization would like to congratulate this exciting new talent on his win. After this stellar performance from Shotzzy we had to find out a bit more about the man who took out some of onlines biggest names and went home with the win.

Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas is only 13 years of age, and got into the game of Halo through his uncle, who obtained semi professional status in Halo 2. Anthony’s first taste of competitive play in Halo was Reach, were he started making a name for himself as an exciting young 1v1 talent. As you can see, his skills have come on leaps and bounds from that point to now, he continues his 1v1 grind in Halo MCC and has a record of 225-1 on the Pro Gaming League Ladder. With his dominant performances online he looks ready to take the next step and attend his first LAN event in the near future with his team…

I would like to thank everyone for competing in our first Online Tournament, and extend a massive thank you to Anthony for sharing some information with us. If you want to ever watch a star of the future dominate online be sure to check out the Shotzzy stream at
